About SMPTE Chapter 11

SMPTE Chapter 11 is a student chapter of SMPTE, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers. It is both a college ASB (associated student body) club and a student-run professional engineering organization. Any Napa Valley College student can join the SMPTE Chapter 11 ASB club but generally club members are members of a current Broadcast Engineering class. Anyone who joins the Broadcast Engineering program is automatically enrolled as a member of SMPTE Chapter 11 and, once graduated from the program, will be a member for life. The alumni directory lists all known current students and alumni back to 1973.

The organization's advisor is Steve Goze, Professor and Coordinator of the Broadcast Engineering program.
