The difficulties

Overall I think the production turned out well. But there was a bit of miss communication. Some people would veer from their posts and the directions weren't being passed down properly. And there were a couple times where things we timing out right and we were stopped which I don't think was right. I should have had some notes for the weather; that was my worst part.

Overall I feel the class

Overall I feel the class worked well together, as a whole. However at times I felt a tiny bit of animosity or some sort of weird “not so good negative non verbal vibrations” brewing in some members of our team and in a way, dryness in attitudes became unintentionally directed towards other members of the class, once we found ourselves on hard times and running into unexpected glitches during production. I don’t know why per say, blame it on the PL line, I guess?? Or maybe it was because “some people” felt like they could have done a better job then the next person, but here’s how I see it. Yeah maybe some people were in positions that they didn’t completely know all the way about or how to work every last facet there is to know when it came to a particular position, but honestly, who in our class can bravely stand up right now, in front of the class to show and prove that he or she can confidently operate every last function on all the equipment in our classrooms’ studio? Or better yet would dare say that they’re so time efficient and knowledgeable about a TV studio, that they could save Hollywood millions in this early stage of our broadcast careers?? To be polite, I’d say we could ALL use more practice. I believe instead of us questioning who to point a finger of blame towards, we should think in a more team oriented sense and pose to one another the REAL question at hand, who did each one of us see being genuinely passionate about the various positions we were all assigned and how well do we believed each one of us truly attempted to perform an excellent job in the efforts of making ALL of our lab final, the best and most successful production it could possibly have been in our 1st semester?? And in that case, I feel that the answer would encompass all of us. We all gave it our best shot; this leads me to vote more towards B, B- grade.

What happened?

We go through a ton of productions all semester, do well, then this? I just don't understand it? I think Dan said it best, some people shined and some people flopped. If everyone did what they were supposed to do, the production would have only took one take!! Mainly I saw that the direction was poorly done and the pl was not used effectively AT ALL!! Thats why other people were doing other peoples jobs and getting frustrated. The director had a God complex the whole time and instead of using constructive criticism he took the rout of correction via insult. The production can not succeed without proper direction and thats why it was so difficult. After all, Who wants to be a broadcast 'technician?" I wanna be an engineer.

final grade

Today production it wasn't going smooth as we plan, there were people that was complaining about other people work and not let them to do there work. the second part of production it went smooth and there were alote of team work envolve.

Final Grade

For the most part, everyone tried hard. We had some set backs which gave us a chance to use our troubleshooting skills. Less arguing and complaining would've been nice. Overall it could've went a little better, but we eventually got the job done.

C at the most.

Overall, i think the production got a C at the most. Some of the key people in that lab just didn't know what to do and also didn't know how to respond under minor pressure. which made the news broadcast look very unprofessional.
Which is sad, because some people in todays lab deserved an A+.

i also noticed people were

i also noticed people were doing others jobs, and thats what brought most of the confusion
