Student Access Television (SATv) was formed to provide a method to allow students at Napa Valley College to expand their knowledge and provide a service to their fellow students and the community.
Our Mission is to provide access to the Television studios at Napa Valley College by its students, to increase community awareness and pride, enhance our educational opportunities, showcase our talent, appreciate our diversity and explore our future and enjoy our past, discuss current events.
These operating policies and procedures are intended to provide the means for assuring fair and equitable access to the resources and services managed by SATV.
Student Access Television is an extension of Napa Valley College’s Broadcast Television Engineering Technology department and the SMPTE11 student club.
The resources provided by SATV are intended to facilitate non-commercial expression by Students of Napa Valley College for the education and benefit of the college and the community at large.
The policies and procedures detailed here may be waived in specific cases but shall otherwise generally be followed. In cases where these policies and procedures are waived, supporting documentation shall detail the reasons for such suspension. A Producer or Programmer is required to submit any request for a exception to policy in writing in advance for review, and any approved waiver will be kept on file.
These policies and guidelines may be modified at any time will be posted in advance on this website. Members of SATV are encouraged to submit proposals for changes and to make comments on any proposed changes.
Persons using the facility should review the policies and are expected to comply with the rules described.
